Colonialism and imperialism have many facets and forms. They not only existed as formal foreign rule, but also have an impact in our contemporary societies, for example in the form of neo-colonial economic conditions or Eurocentric worldviews. The ethnological collection shows at various points what can be part of colonial contexts. The perspective is shifted towards the agency of indigenous actors and the knowledge base of other societies.
