  • Collaboration on the strategic development and positioning of the company through internal and external projects, research projects and digital offers
  • Development and processing of third party funding and fundraising applications
  • Communication with external partners (lenders, sponsors, sponsors, associations etc.)
  • Preparation of annual reports of the National Museum
  • Planning and implementation of content evaluations
  • Preparation of texts and presentations for greetings, prefaces, lectures etc.

A completed university degree (Diplom / Master / Magister) is required, if possible in a humanities subject as well as relevant museum experience. The well-versed handling of common office applications is taken for granted. Willingness to serve on weekends or in the evenings is required.

We expect a high level of social competence, teamwork and communication skills, independence and organizational skills, a high level of commitment and above-average resilience, a sure-footed command of the German language and very good command of English.

Remuneration is based on the fee group 13 TV-L.

Provenance research at the Landesmuseum Hannover covers all departments and is also the coordinating office of the Provenance Research Network in Lower Saxony.

In the field of provenance research is to 1. September 2019 on

scientific traineeship (m | w | d)

A completed university degree in history, art history, ethnology or a comparable subject, first experiences in the field of provenance research, knowledge of current discourses and interest in interdisciplinary work are required.

We expect sensitivity for the political, historical and ethical importance of the task, high communication and cooperation skills, discretion, diligence, teamwork, independence and organizational skills as well as a high level of commitment and resilience.

Expected are the well-versed handling of common office applications and good foreign language skills. Desirable experiences are with the documentation and mediation of research results.

The focus of the training will be on research on Nazi-looted property as well as collections of colonial contexts and their documentation. Further training fields result from the planned redesign of the KunstWelten in the Landesmuseum Hannover as well as from the coordination of the Provenance Research Network in Lower Saxony.
