Fossils, the petrified remains of extinct animals, are known to be the key witnesses to the history of the earth. They give us exciting insights into times long past. The themed tour uses the example of dinosaurs and other exciting prehistoric animals to illustrate how research reconstructs their appearance, lifestyle and habitat.

In order to deepen the topic, one of the following workshops, thematically appropriate to the tour, can be booked:

• Casting fossils (fossil plate with snails, mussels, ammonites and dinosaur teeth)
• Skull cast of Tyrannosaurus rex
