the history of the development of living beings

tour + workshop (optional)

This themed tour offers a unique and holistic overview of the history of the origins and evolution of life on Earth. The NaturWelten, with its interlinking of biology, geology and paleontology and a mix of living animals and museum specimens, offers a wealth of illustrative material to use selected examples to explore the history of the development of living beings from the first single-celled organisms to the first ancestors of humans. Impressive fossils illustrate how life on earth has constantly changed and how these key fossil witnesses can be used to reconstruct the evolution of living beings back to their origins.

In order to deepen the topic, one of the following workshops, thematically appropriate to the tour, can be booked:

  • Casting fossils (fossil plate with snails, mussels, ammonites and dinosaur teeth) | 7th – 9th grade
  • Skull cast of Tyrannosaurus rex | 7th – 9th grade
