Monasteries and the church shape intellectual life in the Middle Ages, the lords of the castle dominate lands, but the citizens are the real force of the Middle Ages. They bring about change, prosperity and are
Carrier or sponsor of scientific development. Crafts and trade across large stretches of Europe lead to contacts and suggestions.

In order to deepen the topic, one of the following workshops, thematically appropriate to the tour, can be booked:

  • With ink and pen – write like a monk
  • Bookbinding course – medieval book art
